Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
