TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — What It Is

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.

The complete breakdown, including regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and the bonus website terms, is at Trade The Day.
